Discovery
Exemplifi began by understanding History Colorado’s goals for the Colorado 150th subsite. We analyzed the existing platform, identifying key challenges such as content management and the need for optimized media. Our team worked closely with History Colorado to define objectives focused on engagement, accessibility, and scalability.
Define
In the define phase, we set clear project goals, including the creation of a flexible content management system, ensuring optimized media for faster performance, and developing a fully responsive design. Our focus was also on ensuring the platform was future-proof, capable of supporting future historical projects and microsites like the Grant Humphries subsite.
Design
Exemplifi selected Drupal 9 for the redesign, prioritizing scalability and content management flexibility. We implemented a paragraph-driven content system for easier updates, optimized high-resolution images for faster load times, and created a responsive design to ensure seamless access across devices. The platform was built with future growth in mind, ensuring it would remain adaptable to new projects.
Project impact
A Few unique solutions designed for this client
We implemented a flexible content management system within Drupal, allowing the client to easily add, edit, and rearrange content. This approach eliminated the need for technical support, making updates faster and more efficient, ultimately streamlining the management process.

We developed a visually distinct subsite while ensuring brand consistency, and created a scalable design framework that allows for easy expansion to future microsites, such as the Grant Humphries subsite.

We optimized high-resolution images to improve page load times and ensured a smooth browsing experience, even for users with slower internet connections.
