SMS Terms & Conditions
Governs the SMS text-message portion of the Exemplifi Transit Alerts program
Effective Date: August 20, 2026
These terms apply to the SMS text-message alerts offered through Exemplifi Transit Alerts (the "Program"), operated by Exemplifi on behalf of the transit agency you subscribed with. By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts, you accept these terms.

1. About the Program
The Program sends recurring automated informational transit alerts — such as delays, detours, disruptions, planned service changes, and restored-service notices — for the routes you selected, or for all routes if you chose to receive everything. It is an informational service, not a marketing program.
2. Consent & opt-in
You enroll by entering your mobile number on the public subscription form and checking the SMS consent box, then confirming with a one-time text: reply YES to activate (double opt-in). Your consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You confirm that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide and are at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on real-time service conditions and the routes you follow — you receive a text when there is an alert relevant to your selections. During major disruptions you may receive several messages; during normal service you may receive none. You can reduce volume using quiet hours and by narrowing your selected routes.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan and carrier. Exemplifi does not charge for the alerts themselves, but your carrier's standard messaging and data charges are your responsibility.
5. How to opt out, get help, or resubscribe
STOP | Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You'll get one confirmation text and then no further messages unless you resubscribe. (CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, and STOPALL also work.) |

6. Supported carriers
The Program is compatible with major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others, as well as many smaller and regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed.
7. Privacy
Your mobile number and SMS consent are used only to deliver the alerts you requested. We do not share or sell your mobile information to third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
8. Changes to these term
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued participation in the Program after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
